I chose the movie, Little Women because as i was looking through the story it really interested me. It is about family that consits of a mother a father at war and 4 sisters. The eldest daughter, Jo is the leader of the pact. It is her dream to be a writer and her ultimate goal is to give evryone everything they every wanted. Through-out the story events occur that make her doubt what she is doing with her life and in the end she makes a discion that finally reaches her goal.

  22. @Mrs.Edwards. Which movie would you suggest I do? Gone With the Wind or Gettysburg?

  23. @Jen. Both are good choices. Gone With the Wind has more romance in it. The other has more of a true "war/battlefield" aspect.

  25. Cold Mountain is actually a novel from the AP reading list. Choosing a movie that is based on a classic novel has an "extra" benefit. I thought that someone had mentioned watching Moby Dick. This is also a classic novel, too:)

  26. @Steffi. It is a good choice:)The author struggled with gender stereotypes in real life. Notice that the characters all have masculine names. Think about gender stereotypes as you watch the film. You will find that the author of the novel was ahead of her time with some of her thoughts about the subject:)
